Windrush Farm is a Georgian farmhouse situated in the small farming hamlet of Stowell just 4 miles from Sherborne in a very peaceful setting within two walled gardens with extending views of the countryside.
The property itself is a great example of an 18th century yeoman farmer's house. The property has great character and is furnished with many interesting and unusual objects which gives a homely feeling rather than a guesthouse. There is a large farmhouse kitchen complete with aga where a wholesome traditional English breakfast is served. The kitchen has French doors leading onto a terrace and the garden beyond. We have a cosy sitting room available to guests where, in the cooler weather, we shall light a fire and you’re free to enjoy the television and/or DVD player.
The Cider house is an annex which is self-contained with a separate entrance. This is a charming room also featuring French doors and large windows overlooking the walled courtyard complete with fountain, pond and of course those views over the garden and open countryside beyond. There is a large open French style fireplace and open plan kitchen with shower room and a spacious living area where you can sit and eat.
The added bonus of the Cider House is the Juke box!! It has comfortable sitting area with a double sofa bed and home entertainment system. Another feature is the small spiral staircase leading to a galleried area which includes a double and also a single bed.
